So "section 75" is the surest way to get the money back, rather than some informal agreement that could be reversed?

So, I have now contacted the credit card and they will send a claim form my post.

From the process the credit card company has described, and what I have read elsewhere on this forum, they are processing this as "chargeback" so I understand it could still be reversed for up to 45 days following processing.

I don't really care how it is processed, so long as I receive the money back and it is not taken again by the company.  If the credit card do this as chargeback and then that fails, am I still permitted to re-submit as a Section 75 claim?

How much did you spend? Forgot to ask that earlier as if under £100 section 75 does not cover it. The only option will be charge back.

It was £204, but processed as two transactions at £85 and £119.  I have no idea why it is two transactions - it was only one transaction when I paid, but shown as two on the card.  For some reason, two separate order acknowledgement e-mails.

The £119 should be able to do section 75 for the £85 will have to be the charge back and hope for the best, as it has gone through as 2 seperate transactions I doubt the bank will class it as one.
