Denied furlough due to not working enough

I am a part time supply teacher who works for an agency. They are furloughing other teachers but told me I’m ineligible due to ‘many criteria possibly not working enough days’. I was not aware there was a minimum you had to earn to be eligible for furlough. Is there? Are they correct?
I don’t qualify for Universal credit and I thought I would qualify for ESA but have been denied that due to not paying NI while on maternity leave. I just feel like I can’t get any help.

There's no minimum hours you need to have worked to be furloughed. I'm surprised that the agency have furloughed others because going by other threads on here, agencies are less likely to furlough you.Even if you have paid enough NI Contributions then you wouldn't qualify for ESA because that's for those that have a limited capability for work due to a health condition.

Furlough is based on average earnings, so no reason to not do it. Apply for Universal Credit while you sort it out with them, should be about £93 a week0
