I’m bankrupt

You won’t have to, but email your OR for guidance first as the council won’t be informed of your bankruptcy for several weeks yet.

Minky is correct. This is a bankruptcy debt, even if you did not list it, even if you are not in arrears with it.

Good luck, be careful for a week or 2 yet to have an alternative means of payment with you when shopping . Some of process is letter based and there might yet be activity at the bank processing these. I’m sure you’ll be fine thoughgeorge_112 said:Bank accounts seem to be sorted. I have moved wages and housing benefit into one and tax credits and child benefit into the other. Means all my direct debits can come out of one and the other is living costs etc. Tax credits may be the issue as payment is due on Monday and the advisor told me it ‘should’ be paid in new account so best to check on the day and hope! Yeah I’ll do that thank
now just waiting for the first call from the examiner. What should I expect from this. I’m guessing it will be either tomorrow or day after. What happens if I miss the call? Will they give me number to call back on. Only reason I ask is I have live online training with work tomorrow morning for two hours and it would be typical if they call then. I’m scared to start off on the wrong foot0 -
Thanks, the two bank accounts I have moved everything too have been opened post bankruptcy and are basic accounts. Is there a chance these would be frozen as I was under the impression accounts opened afterwards would be fine? I still have cash in the house and am carrying some on me should I have an issue with my card. Now just to wait for the OR interviewmwarby said:

those will be fine, sorry lost track as to whether the Barclays account was a new one or product change

I had to open a new Barclays, the messenger hell gave me incorrect info. One helpful thing though was if you call barclays using the video call app they can open accounts and no need to visit a branch. My card arrived 2 days later. I wish I had known this from the start. The video bankers are apparently able to help with more than the telephone banking service and they seem more knowledgeable. Just incase this info helps anyone going forwardmwarby said:those will be fine, sorry lost track as to whether the Barclays account was a new one or product change1
