Furloughing?

I was working at Rolls-Royce Derbys' site up until 16th April when my hiring  agency(Alexander Man Solutions) contract was terminated early by Rolls-Royce due to covid 19. My employer is actually Giant Precision Services Ltd who do the payroll. They have asked if I would like furloughing which I said yes to on the 16th April. Now they are stalling and I haven't recieved any money. I don't even think they have registered me on the scheme. Hmrc won't tell me if they've applied to the scheme. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Going by a lot of other threads on here regarding agencies then it's unlikely they will furlough you but it's entirely their decision. You will need to speak to your employer regarding this.

If they refuse then providing you don't have savings/capital of more than £16,000 then look at claiming Universal Credit. Be aware that a claim for UC will end any tax credits you may already be claiming.

HMRC won’t tell you if you are registered or not. I would guess the agency planned to furlough you then figured out it would cost them, basically you still are entitled to holiday pay, they can’t claim for that so costs them. I would not personally be expecting any money from it, so as poppy says best thing to do is look at benefits.
