PCP Balloon Payment Error
Hi, hoping someone can provide some advice and guidance. I have had an Audi on a 4 year PCP which ended yesterday. I notified Audi / VW Financial Services 4 weeks that I wanted to arrange a hand back of the vehicle at the end of the PCP which they acknowldged by email and confirmed that Manheim Auctions would be in contact when they can collect. Obviously this may be delayed with the lockdown. Yesterday came and I had a shock as I received a text my from bank confirming that circa £15k had been taken via DD by Audi Financial Services. I tried to call them but they are not accepting phone calls. I have emailed them and sent them a tweet and still no response. Where do I stand with this as they have taken money which would have been used for a mortgage payment and bills due now. Look forward to receiving any help. Many thanks

You should be contact your bank to reclaim the direct debit payment back using the DD indemnity. Provide the email acknowledgement from VW FS as your proof the payment is not authorised.2

there is some contact info on https://customer.vwfs.co.uk/
whilst its not blatantly obvious that your Audi is financed via VWFS it will probably be the case1 -
Get in touch with your bank and ask them to reverse the DD. Hopefully you've got an email / paperwork confirming your decision to end the agreement?1

Thank-you all for your comments. I did a DD indemnity through my bank and got the money back. I finally got a reply from VWFS who didn't even apologise. Last time I will be using them! Thanks again.

Bravo. Now make sure £15k doesn’t sit in an account where DDs are regularly taken.0
