    I like Santander 123 account. Easy to use and money back pays more than my monthly fee. Any interest is a welcome bonus.

    Like a couple of previous contributors I like Santander too, they've always been there when I needed them. Although yesterday it did take almost all afternoon to manage to speak to an actual human being at Santander!
    Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.

    If you keep a steady £5K in a current account which pays you £5 a month, that‘s the equivalent of 1.2% AER (ref Halifax Reward).
    Thanks for that. I switched to one for the £100 bonus while it was on and while I'm waiting to switch it on again I may as well add £4.9k to get some "interest" out of it.
    I just send £500 from each of my reward accounts each month to my direct saver with NS&i via my debit cards and then move the cash from NS&i to my BOS account to make a bit more interest.
    Most of the month the reward accounts only have about £100 in them.
    wash and repeat.
    I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
    The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
    There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
    I listen all night for your step on the stair.

    I have banked with them for circa 5 years and have never spoken with a real human at Santander :-1:
