Switching Credit Card Balance

Hello, I have looked into the 3 month holiday payment with my current credit card provider but they don't provide any details on interest rate if I took the option and trying to contact them just now is a nightmare so I was thinking of applying for a credit card that has 0% interest for example 18 months. Does that mean I would have 18 months to pay off the balance if I switched it over from from my current provider?

Hope this makes sense.

It means you would be charged 0% on the declining balance (assuming no additional spend) for 18 months.  After that, it would incur interest at your standard rate.

Would that allow me to pay off the balance gradually or need to pay it off in full?
Apologies if this seems stupid. Not all clued up when it comes to finances.

You'd need to make at least minimum payments each month.
