Shpock help please.

I advertised a bike on shpock. Mentioned it needs some love (ie work done) as it’s been lying in storage for years. It’s a £800 bike which I was selling for £250 to take this into account. Buyer made an offer which I accepted. I mentioned I cannot deliver and it was collection only so she paid for Shpock’s own delivery service but when I tried to use it turns out it didn’t accept bikes. So she picked it up. She thoroughly inspected it and took it for a ride up and down the hill. She assured me she was happy with it, chucked it in her van and drove away. Following morning I woke up to a complaint from her saying the bike needs work done and that it’s rusty (didn’t she see that?!) and that the basket was broken (it wasn’t when I gave it to her). Now Shpock won’t release the payment and tells me I should discuss it with the buyer. Buyer obviously want a discount but I don’t think it’s fair practice. What are my rights as a seller? Checked and the ombudsman doesn’t cover Shpock as it’s a foreign company! They are also not available via phone. I feel very vulnerable and quite frankly cheated on. Thanks.

You need this post moved to eBay section of the forum.  People post about Shpock etc there and should be able to give advice.

Maybe the buyer feels cheated too. If you think you are being cheated and you think she wants a discount, just get her to return it then refund her. Then if it's as good as you claim you can resell it.

Tell her to return the bike for a full refund.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
