we bought a new house and managed to squeeze in just after lockdown thank god.
dfs order was due to come 01st April and was cancelled - fair enough, absolutely no complaints from me even though it has meant we’ve been on deck chairs since! Not really heard much from them since. Today I thought I would press them. Imo they should have formed a contingency for deliveries like mines, even if say we had to agree for it to be left on the driveway or something but nothing the furniture is just sitting in a warehouse somewhere. Now I’m generally not a complainer but I was expecting them to offer some kind of gesture - some free cushions or something off the delivery charges or something but nope absolutely no gesture despite me eventually asking direct so one of the managers is going to get back to me.
Am I being a bit unreasonable? I get this is out with their control but I’ve been sitting on the floor for 5 weeks and counting waiting on them. I appreciate like all businesses they’ll be struggling just now but they’ve taken every form of gov assistance going and all I’m really looking for from them is a small gesture to recognise the inconvenience...

You can't expect them to deliver sofas as it obviously takes two men to carry a sofa and there would be no social distancing. The situation is out of their control, all you can do is wait. I doubt you will get any kind of gesture from this company anyway, read their bad reviews online.

As for a "gesture", they are currently taking no money through their tills.Do you really expect them to give away money to everyone the government lockdown has similarly effected?0 -
You need to be patient. They're not being unreasonable.0
