If a item is sold on ebay staring that the packaging is damaged and the price reduced can the buyer return it saying it has been damaged more in transit??
The actual item is not damaged

I would say no, not unless the packaging actually adds some value (such as an official branded box for an expensive watch, those branded dust/storage bags you get for designer handbags & shoes etc). You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0

I would say no - it was sold with damaged packaging, and damaged packaging was received.0

It depends on if the nature and scope of the damage was detailed (perhaps also with photos). If this was the case and the actual damage is noticeably more then there may be a right to reject, but otherwise no.1

More info needed - in theory, maybe, but I think it unlikely there's going to be a material difference in value in the overall item just because of a difference in extent of the damaged packaging.0

e.g. if you had stated that the packaging was a little damaged (but probably ok to give as someone to a gift...), but in transit the packaging was trashed, then yes they have a case.
Could you be more specific in what it was sold as and what they are claiming?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
It was a star wars action figure.
It was advertised as damaged plastic cover and reduced the price.
Received a offer even lower and excepted it.
I managed to pack it ang get it to the post office for 5 on friday.
Later that night he wanted a refund ??
I said it had already been posted . Conversation went back and forth he wanted a refund I said I cant I've sent it.
Monday comes and surprise surprise its arrived battered.
Alot more damage than it was sent due to inadequate packaging in the message even though it was in bubble wrap and a card invert.
The card had been ruined but it was already sold as damaged goods ?.?0 -
Ok so it sounds like they have changed their mind and ere not expecting it to be sent out so quickly.
I would ask them to send photos of the outer packaging before they opened it so you can claim from Royal Mail. I would the ask them to return it.
How much was it?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
