My holiday will be given back to me on my credit card, can I draw the cash out without paying a fee? I don't want to leave £3k of credit on the card as i will waste that money, so I would like to draw it out and put it back in my savings for another holiday in the future

You can, but you'll be charged.
Just ask them to transfer it to your current account.0 -
Yes just call them to transfer it back to your current account - they won’t charge you for it. If you keep going to the atm and withdrawing £250 a day you’re sook going to get into trouble with fees.0

I have read that some credit card providers will let you make a money transfer (not cash) with the fee being refunded within a month. I have had this with my Lloyds credit card.0

A credit balance can be returned to your current account. You will have to call your card customer services to request this.Do not ask for a money transfer.... you are asking for your credit balance to be returned to your bank.0

Or if in doubt ask for a cheque to be sent0

Not with Lloyds stable you don't. As I said because of staff shortages and huge volumes of calls you can do what I said rather than be in a call queue for hours - your choice.maxximus75 said:A credit balance can be returned to your current account. You will have to call your card customer services to request this.Do not ask for a money transfer.... you are asking for your credit balance to be returned to your bank.
I do wish posters would tell us which card they used though.0 -
We've just had a refund for our holiday from EasyJet which went onto my husband's Nationwide CC.jonesMUFCforever said:

I do wish posters would tell us which card they used though. He rang them today and requested a credit balance refund to be transferred into our Nationwide current account, which they will do (apparently with no problem, although it will take three to five working days for them to actually do it.) I don't expect to be charged a fee for doing that service. We were on the phone to them for about ten minutes or so before it was answered, which I didn't consider to be too long a wait under the present circumstances ( I can't see why it should take them three to five days to do a simple transfer, but what do I know?
) A cunning plan, Baldrick? Whatever it was, it's got to be better than pretending to be mad; after all, who'd notice another mad person around here?.......Edmund Blackadder.1 -
