Taking holiday during the pandemic from work

Hello, thank you for taking your time to read this and help with a situation, i received an email saying all employees are to take 5 days/1 week of holiday before the start of June so there's not a build up of holiday that is to be used. i went into work last week with the days i had chosen to take to be told i'm not allowed to take any holiday as the days i had been told to stay at home (i work in a preschool and we had no children some days so get told to stay at home) are being used with my holiday days.

i no they can say we are closing for a week an you need to use ya holiday for that week as long as they give you enough notice but can they say it after it has happened ?

I don’t believe they can do it after the fact. 

To my knowledge they have to give you double the amount of notice for the amount of time they are requesting you take which as you say is your understanding also.

Hopefully someone else with a little more in-depth knowledge will be able to assist further.

So they are telling you that you need to use your holidays for days in the past (when you were told not to come in)?
What happens if you say no?  Will you still be paid for those days, or will you have money deducted for them?
