Universal Credit for Coronavirus (second property help)

Hello all,
Myself and my partner have never claimed UC before. He is self employed and unable to work due to high risk and I am working from home. Back at the end of March when lockdown was announced we were told to apply for UC, we filled in all of the paperwork and sent it back in the freepost envelope and were told we would get a statement sent to us at the end of April. Last summer, my partner purchased a property (his first and nothing to do with me, the home we live in is in my name solely but I do understand the partnership side), the property is still in a state and needs a lot of work so I contacted UC to see what needs to be declared as the house is empty and won't be ready until he can get back to work to get some money and work on it. UC explained that it needed to be declared as capital which is fine by us, between the mortgage and the deposit put down there is about 13k in there.
We are still awaiting on a decision to be made on whether we can receive any money at all; it is up to the decision maker to tell us when it is our turn whether we can receive any funds but obviously this second home isn't doing any favors. Just wanted to know whether anyone else has any advice or in a similar boat that can help? We also have a young child if that makes any difference.
