Someone in my household has just received a shielding letter. What are people experience of being housed by nhs for being an nhs worker

Is the letter definitely categorising that person as 'clinically highly vulnerable' and to 'shield'?
Apparently there have been two waves of letters, the second was to the 'vulnerable' group - such as the over 70s - and was shorter than the 'shielding' letter.

The letter is a long shielding letter, it says that they should use the kitchen at the same time as others, bathroom ect. I’m a NHS mental health nurse. Should I ask for accommodation during this time?0

Your call. My wife works in a care home and is still at home. I had the letter in the first wave.
Follow the advice given at https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/guidance-on-shielding-and-protecting-extremely-vulnerable-persons-from-covid-19/guidance-on-shielding-and-protecting-extremely-vulnerable-persons-from-covid-19#living-with-other-people diligently.
Are you actually front line? Dealing with Covid positive patients as a norm? If not then I doubt they would give you it if they actually have any to start witj0
