Self employed and emoloyee - can I be furloughed and get self employed grant?

I have most my income (probably 75%) from self employment. I should qualify for the SE grant. However the remainder of my income is for other work, for which they have just said they can furlough me. So obviously my main thing I want to get is the SE grant as that will be more, so I don’t want to jeopardise that. My assumption is you cannot be both furloughed and get the SE grant but I can’t find any confirmation of this. Can anyone confirm if accepting it will preclude me from the grant?

You can qualify for the SEISS and be furloughed from another job at the same time, in the same way that you had more than one job as an employee you could be furloughed from all of them.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.

If you want the reference for this, it is in the SEISS Treasury Direction:
"11. Entitlement to a payment under SEISS is without prejudice to any entitlement to a payment under any similar scheme arising from a direction under section 76 of the Coronavirus Act 2020."

I have just realised something additional about this. Though my self employed work has dropped considerably I still have some work and income coming in. I have now been furloughed for my employed paye  work but I have just realised that you are not supposed to work while on furlough.
What can I do about this? I can’t really stop the self employment.

You have misunderstood it. When furloughed you can do no work for the employer who has furloughed you. You can still do work for different employers or continue self employment.
