The prize consists of:
A one-night stay for a family of two adults and two children (aged 12 or under) in an Explorer Room at the Alton Towers Hotel with full English buffet breakfast and free parking included, four Alton Towers day passes, and four Gold Fastrack passes to be used within the park.

All aspects of the prize must be redeemed in the same visit. The prize is valid between 1st April 2021 and 30th September 2021 with the exclusion of Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in August, Fireworks events & other special events (an Alton Towers representative can confirm any special event dates at the time of booking). Prize is subject to Alton Towers’ opening times and is not valid on Theme Park closure days. Alton Towers retains the right to substitute part(s) of the prize with an alternative offering of a similar value in the event any of the original prize elements are unavailable at the time of booking. The prize does not include any transport (to or from the arrival and departure airports), to or from the Alton Towers Resort, any food and beverage costs or any other expenses unless expressly agreed in writing by Specsavers. In the event that the winner’s family consists of more than four persons, the winner’s family will have to pay for the additional costs for all extra persons (and these additional costs will be provided at the time of booking for approval of the winner).

Return flights (to include 1 item of hold luggage per person) for four persons from Republic of Ireland, Channel Islands or Isle of Man to the UK are included if the winner is a resident of the Republic of Ireland, Channel Islands or Isle of Man.

Terms and conditions

The promoter of the prize draw is Specsavers Optical Group Limited (‘Specsavers’), whose registered office is at La Villiaze, St Andrews, Guernsey, GY6 8YP. The providers of the prize are Alton Towers Limited and Alton Towers Resort Operations Limited (‘The Holiday Promoters’). The prize draw is open to all United Kingdom, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Republic of Ireland residents aged 18 or over, excluding employees of the Specsavers Group, Specialist Publications UK Ltd, Alton Towers Limited, Alton Towers Resort Operations Limited or any third-party associates and members of their families, who are not eligible to enter this prize draw. If under the age of 18, a parent/guardian’s consent will be required. Entries must be made electronically on the above website form only. A maximum of one entry per family is permitted. No purchase is necessary. The prize draw will run from 16th April 2020 (the ‘Opening Date’) and the closing date for entry into the competition is midnight on 31st October 2020 (the ‘Closing Date’). All entries must be received no later than midnight on the Closing Date. Entries submitted after the Closing Date will not be included in the draw. Specsavers accepts no responsibility for entries that are late or for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault. Confirmation of email transmission is not proof of entry. The draw will be made on/shortly after 1st November 2020. A winner will be selected at random from all valid entries received by the Closing Date, using a random-number generator. The winner will be contacted as soon as practical after 1st November 2020 via e-mail or telephone and will be given 14 days to respond. If any winner is under the age of 18, Specsavers will contact the winner’s parent/guardian by email or telephone to confirm that they consent to the winner entering the prize draw and agree to accept the prize on the winner’s behalf, subject to these Terms and Conditions. If the response deadline is missed or the winner is found to be in breach of these terms and conditions or the rules of entry for the draw, or, where the winner is under the age of 18, their parent or guardian refuses or fails to agree to accept the prize on the winner’s behalf subject to these Terms and Conditions, the prize may be forfeited, and another winner selected. Specsavers’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. Specsavers reserves the right to change, hold void or cancel the prize draw at any time without notice. Spending money and other items or activities not specifically set out above are not included in the prize. All extras not specified in the prize must be paid for by the prize winner. Travel insurance and visas, any necessary vaccinations, valid passports, spending money, departure and arrival taxes, local taxes, hold luggage, excursions, attractions, treatments and car hire and any other personal expenses are the winner’s responsibility unless expressly stated otherwise in these terms and conditions. Specsavers shall not be liable to entrants for: (i) any losses, damages or costs incurred or suffered as a result of the entrants entering the prize-draw promotion; (ii) acceptance or use of any element of the prize won in connection with the promotion; (iii) failure by the connected third parties or Specsavers to act in accordance with any promotion laws, rules and regulations; (iv) and/or failure by the connected third parties or Specsavers to deliver any element of the prize. Each entrant acknowledges that Specsavers has no liability to him/her in accordance with this disclaimer. The winner and their guests may be required to participate in publicity for Specsavers.

This prize draw and these Terms and Conditions are governed by and subject to English Law and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
