Would you book a holiday for October 2021 just now?

Hi folks, having missed out on a holiday this year, next available time I have to get abroad is October 2021 Would anyone feel safe booking a break at this moment for a holiday over a year away given the current circumstances? Have seen a couple of good deals but I am in two minds whether to book.

I have already booked accommodation for September 2021 but haven't been required to pay a deposit.  I would probably wait and not book yet.  That is more because I suspect that prices may well drop again after the initial rush.  At the moment holiday prices for next year seem to be increasing on a daily basis.

I'm not booking anything until the position regarding travel insurance cover becomes clearer.

I am currently glad that I hadn't yet booked any trips by March 11th (when the pandemic was announced) so that I have nothing to cancel/defer to next year. when i first read of people deferring to 2021, my first thought was "what will you do for insurance when your current policy will have expired". For once i was grateful to a NHS wait for a scan which had prevented me from renewing my annual policy and booking anything in January/February !

I am not booking anything when we are still dealing with 2020.
Unless I have a crystal ball that can tell me everything will be ok to travel abroad.

I've booked for Feb "21 and I'm happy to have something to look forward to.
  • Well bit the bullet and booked, was saving £500 per couple compared to rival company. here's hoping this pandemic has passed by then.
