SEISS Grant help for self employed tradesmen

Hi, 
im a self employed electrician and looking for advice please ,

My work is usually sub contracting to electrical companies and my tax is paid via CIS (UTR),
since the lockdown came into force I haven’t been working because the company that I’ve been subcontracting to has temporarily stopped all of its work due to sites being closed,
I’ve had a look at the gov.uk website and meet all the criteria by the looks of it,
Is this something that I would be eligible to claim?

Provided you were self employed before 6 April 2019 and meet the criteria, yes. I assume you have filed self assessment tax returns? You need to intend to continue to trade. The full eligibility criteria are set out in the guidance:

Yes and have been self employed for around 6 years , thanks I’ve just been a little bit confused by it all
