Hi, I’m self employed and put in a claim for universal credit 5 weeks ago, last week I was told how much I will be getting, but nothing was included for my rent, I queried this through the journal and got a reply stating due to a system error your payments will be recalculated today (6 days ago), I know they are very very busy but my rent is due this week, will I have to wait until next month until I receive it.

Is this a private rental or social through a Housing association ?
Once they have recalculated the payment, if the amount is overdue, they will normally process as a same day faster payment. Might be worth sending a journal message chasing it.The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.1 -

Usually about 7 days after first contact of there being an issue with a statement, so should be received shortly. Won't hurt sending them a journal message reminder. The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums.
