Is Housing Association Housing Classed as Private of Council House?

For the purpose of filling out credit application forms or for the purpose of notifying credit reference agencies Is renting Social housing from a housing association classed as renting from a private landlord or Council Housing. Also how does the difference between the both effect credit score or applications and insurance negatively. As if yuo rent from a private landlord these are known not to be very secure. Even though renting from a housing association is a lot more secure then renting from the regular private landlord in it to make a quick buck  when tenant have no rights.

I would put council housing, however the credit and loans board will be better placed to answer than here to be honest.

Also tenants have plenty of rights. In some cases private tenants have more rights than council tenants.

Not every Private Landlord is out to make a " quick buck "
Many Private Landlords are now being squeezed by Tax changes and New regulations about Gas Safety, Electric regulations, HMO licence and many other Laws, Council policy and government agenda to leave the market and sell up.
Providing a HOME for your tenants and keeping them long term makes good business sense.

Housing associations are independently owned organisations so I would put private.

For credit purposes, they are known as ‘social housing’ and come under the umbrella of council housing.
You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset. ;)

I would put them under the umbrella of social housing - bear in mind the purpose of the question, which I suspect is mainly "how likely are we to be able to find you at the same address in a year or so's time?".

I work for a housing association and it’s classed as social housing  same as council housing, and private housing has different laws and regulations, just but down council as it’s technically viewed as more a secured tenancy

They are social housing but that’s not the question, they are factually not council housing. Credit application questions should be specific.
