Hi all

generally if you find the cheapest deals on a comparison site and then click through directly using a cashback site - does it save you money or do they just inflate the prices ?

It would be useful to have a rough rule of thumb to save everyone reinventing the wheel. I’m sure someone must have looked at this before

Hi,yes in my experience the cahback sites price is usually more expensive and in alot much more...which sinply negates the cashback!

I agree with this and have found cash back sites as a waste of time.  You’re probably better using comparison sites on cashback sites (Go Compare is on Quidco, as others may be)

    Quote £327.   £50 cashback price £399.

It may work for some, not for me. Also it may fall through, you got a quote with another service so that nullify's the cashback?
Check the terms.  Maybe you need to risk paying more to get the cashback?

Yeah. I just did a direct quote with aviva and then clicked through on TCB and it DIDNT inflate the price. So I guess the direct ones generally may not inflate
