Turning an existing doorway into an archway?

I am getting my kitchen replaced soon, along with a lot of redecoration work throughout the rest of the house and am wondering if it is worth looking into the above. My kitchen currently has a doorway entrance with no door - it's a very small space and a door would just get in the way so it was just removed, leaving the door frame. I've been looking at it and think it looks a bit odd, as it is clearly a space where there was once a door! So, I was thinking about turning the rectangular doorway into an archway, as I think this will look nicer and less like someone just slung a door! However, I have no idea how straightforward this is... does anyone have experience of this, and a rough cost expectation? I'm going to ask the building team doing the rest of the work on my house but just want to get an idea of what I can expect first (don't want to look like a fool when they tell me it's impossible!)
Any advice greatly appreciated!

There are performed kits like

Worst case addition lintel where the doorway is .

It won't generally be impossible, but the amount of work and the cost will depend on whether it's a load bearing wall or not. If it isn't it will be a simple job.

Not a load bearing wall!0

If it's not a load bearing wall why not just extend the height of the opening and leave it square?

I simply ripped out the door liner, fixed the arch pieces into place and the angle beads, made good with bonding then skimmed it all up. All in took about 6 hours from thinking about it to sitting down with the telly on.0

Personally I wouldn't put in an arch. I'd just take off all the woodwork, as Astrozombies have described above, & plaster it square.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.1

Excellent - thank you everyone! I unfortunately am not in any way DIY capable but have asked my builder to include this on the job. Good to know in advance that it's feasible and easy so I know what to expect from them/their quote!0
