Masters student furloughed.

Hi. My son is a masters student in Manchester, He has a graduate loan which pays his tuition, I pay his rent and he had a 16 hour a week restaurant job to cover his living expenses. His job has gone and he is furloughed but he doesn’t get a full month’s pay as he’d only been in the job for 6 weeks. I work part time and am furloughed too. His uni course is still ongoing but not face to face. Is he entitled to claim universal credit, or anything else, as I can’t afford to give him any more money and don’t want him to have to leave uni. Thanks.

Students can only claim Universal Credit if they are claiming a disability benefit, there's no other benefits that he could claim, unless he's claiming the disability benefits such as PIP or DLA.
