HI
just a quick question because had conflicting advice.

Booked flight with virgin Atlantic for June 2020 and paid in full with credit card at time of booking. I know if they go bust i am covered by credit card guarantee.

Virgin Atlantic have been in touch and asked if I want to change my ticket to a open ticket so I can take a flight instead in 2021, approx. 12 months time.
If they go bust say Jan 2021 i am I still covered by credit card guarantee.?.  Seeking advice because I ordinally paid on credit card for flight for June 2020 and wondering once June 2020 has passed is the obligation from the credit card guarantee fulfilled and will a later claim be refused because my payment was for a different flight.   STEVEN
