Capping off waste water outlet

I know that the yellow thing under our kitchen sink is intended for a washing machine or dishwasher, and the previous owner left it 'capped' with duct tape. What I don't know is what I actually need to properly plug it. Yellow pipe measures 3/4" across.

I'm not sure if something like this will work as I can't find dimensions: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Washing-Machine-Blank-Plug-For-Outlet-Hose-Nozzle-Plug-Spigot-Stop-Cap-Mcalpine/273962501986 or I could potentially replace that and the first white 'thing' as I'm assuming it screws loose: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Washing-Machine-Spigot-Bent-WMF4-McALPINE-Waste-Nozzle-with-Nut-Cone-Washer/253162273641?hash=item3af1a5bb69:g:kZ4AAOSwsPlZwNDM

All I can see is a big blank where the picture should be
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

If the white union that the yellow pipe connects to does unscrew then something this is possibly what you need:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/McAlpine-T23U-Waste-Blank-Cap-1-5/dp/B00LA1800K/ref=pd_ They are available cheaper elsewhere, that's just an example.

If it doesn't unscrew, this may well do the job:

Personally I'd buy a new waste kit and tidy it up for your needs since that doesn't look very well fitted (too steep angle from left to right drain putting the seal at risk of leaking.

Or, for real money saving, unscrew the white plastic nut holding the yellow spigot and insert a circle of plastic cut to fit the inside diameter of that fitting to block off the yellow pipe. You can cut the plastic from an old bleach bottle or similar thickness flexible plastic. Or just push a cork securely into the yellow pipe to block it. There is very little pressure there, but the warmth from draining a bowl of hot washing up water will soon have that duct tape coming off.

Thanks both. The cork is a good idea for now as we have a few knocking around - I can't loosen the union on the yellow pipe at all and don't want to force it when I haven't got replacement bits to hand/can't call a plumber out for backup. Will have a look at replacing the whole lot.
