Cancelled hotel... No chargeback, no section 75, no refund?

I'm in a similar position to you but with a package holiday worth 4k. Initial chargebacks had similar outcome (3 of 4 redebited from credit card). Sec75 sent and still no acknowledgement from amex. Have now raised a complaint and chased a callback today. Just trying to anticipate what they might say. I'm happy to go all the way with this... the money should be refunded by Loveholidays but they have gone radio silent and are next to impossible to contact.
Would love to know how yours ended. Amex are being really difficult with allowing me to speak to management/complaints team. I can only seem to get to the first line of their customer service defence!

I booked a package holiday with Love holidays and they just never got back to me about my refund request. Only offered vouchers. I rang my bank and got the money back there and then. No issues. That’s with Halifax. They can dispute all they want, I paid for a service I didn’t get and that’s the end of it. By law, you are legally entitled to a refund within 14 days by the way you paid I.e. a cash refund. They are just dragging their heels and don’t want to lose their money.0

Chargebacks are over and above your legal rights, as such have no legal standing and Visa/Mastercards decision is final.
So the 14 day to refund, while is a legal right. Is not a dispute right.Life in the slow lane0
