in Credit cards
I have booked a holiday with Jet2 and paid a deposit on my credit card. We wish to cancel but cant get hold of Jet2. The balance will be taken out automatically from my credit card on the 6th June 2020. The credit card company tell me that they cant stop this being taken, is this right?

Write to your bank (by secure message) stating that have withdrawn consent for your pending Jet2 payment. Then write to Jet2 requesting a refund of the deposit, advising them that you have withdrawn your consent for the balance to be deducted from your account.
Simples.
Edit: And welcome to the form

Just be aware that cancelling or failing to pay the balance means YOU are cancelling and may lose the right to a refund if the holiday can not go ahead.
