Can any one help?
I am disabled but at the moment I am currently working. At some point in the near future I will have to give up work. I have been told when this happens I need to go on the sick and claim SSP. When the time period for SSP ends do I claim for both IS & IB at the same time? Do you get IS & IB benefits at the same time or are you only entitled to one or the other? Could any tell me how much is IS, i know its means tested but what is the maximum you can get?
When you are on SSP can you claim for any other type of benefits?
Hope some out there can help.
Chris

When your SSP ends at week 28, or earlier if your contact is terminated, claim both IB and IS by ringing 08000 556688.
You cannot be paid both IB and IS in full at the same time.
More info on IB and IS are here-

Depending on your situation whilst on SSP you may be able to claim additional help here-
