The DWP woudl generally ask for proof of the premise being uo for sale i.e. name of the agents selling the property, copies of adverts and the like.
They can also decide that you are "selling" in order to be entilted to benefit and choose not to disregard it, however that would be unlikely, if you have evidence of your intentions to sell.

I got a call from my case handler and he told me that they might have made a mistake on my claim. He couldn’t explain what it was and said I would be contacted. I asked if it was changes due to Corvid 19 and the property as I had asked that in my journal, but he said no. I had a notification to read a letter on my journal yesterday. It states that I am now eligible to claim UC as they have disregarded the property value for six months. I don’t know if it is because of the current situation or not or if it is always disregarded for six months?
I am guessing that if my UC gets closed after six months I can’t make a new claim for tax credit? UC has replaced tax credit and you can’t make any new claims from now onwards?
Thank you all who gave me advice, I can at least pay my bills for a while.

Disregard for six months is standard but can be extended if it is reasonable to do so in the circumstances. I would imagine it is to do with the difficulty of making a sale at the present time due to lockdown.
As you say there is no going back to Tax Credits.

Do you mean you have hit the benefit cap, as child benefit doesn't affect UC payments, but it is included within the benefit cap?

Hi, I'm new, nice to meet you. I need your help. I am on jobseekers allowance. When I apply for Universal Credit can I still remain on jobseekers allowance whilst my application for universal credit is being considered? Does the act of making an application for universal credit mean that I will automatically and instantly lose my jobseekers allowance even though my application has not been accepted or there is a delay in it being accepted maybe because I do not have enough personal information and ID to show them or for any other reason? I do not want to be where I can not be able to be on jobseekers allowance any more but not able to be on Universal Credit.

Romgom, please start your own thread. Your question is lost at the end of a three page thread which is nearly a year old and will get confused with the original thread discussion.
