Not sure, but it is quite unfair that this question was asked and everyone on this forum did not just agree that it was unfair that the poor hotel worker was expected to go to work to earn a living rather than getting £2.5k from the tax payer for life for nowt! Just like the originator of the following thread:bradders1983 said:As an aside, I see the thread about the poor poor hotel worker being forced to go back to work against his own will was deleted. Can you request your own threads get deleted?

Returning to the theme of this thread, all the while the OP is needing to be employed at the same company they probably just need to suck it up and do the work even though they should not be. If doing 4 hours per day at home, that is about half time working (based on a full-time job) and getting 80% pay for the time being. I think it is the employer not the employee that would be penalised if a fraudulent CJRS claim is found out. Obviously, the OP may decide in the longer term that changing employers is a better solution (and possibly to report the false claims), but not worth throwing-the-baby-out-with-the-bathwater in the mean-time.0 -
