Howdy!
I'm not sure what to make of my experience today purchasing a hi fi amp from richer sounds .
Brief background : was on a dmp from 2012. Paid off settlements in 2017 . Moved into my new flat in 2017 .
Anyway, I was just giving the details of my vanquis card to pay for amp. Then it got declined 🙀
So I thought it best to pay with my bank( nationwide ). That too got declined .
Reason : " The adddress doesn't match "

So I'm confused and this is giving me a heart attack so to speak .
I've been a valued customer with richer sounds for years. I purchased a pair of speakers in 2017 online when I moved
What the sales advisor told me today was that he declined my cards ...not the bank as I have 2 lines on my first address
He then said that because I've been a valued customer he will put order through . In a way he did me a favour as it's best to leave credit card alone .

I was going to contact nationwide and Vanquis due to him declining my purchase but he said there's no need .
What do you make of it ??
I use my actual flat name and door number . However if I didn't put down the second part of that address ( before town/ county) the delivery people would have trouble finding it .
Thanks

Are you buying outright or paying instalments on a finance plan? When I was a student, I struggled to get a phone contract because the house I lived in had recently been converted into flats and so my address ‘didn’t exist’.1

Thanks lord😼
The issue I have is that I have funds in both bank and have loads of credit a available on credit card so I had no idea why the person at richer sounds declined. He says he did it and not the bank declining my purchase . As I say, it's the address . That shouldn't be a problem. He was wearing himself out and me telling me I don't need to contact Vanquis or nationwide . I'm puzzled ..
I was paying outright0
