Faulty phone what are my rights?

Hi my daughters Google phone has gone wrong she has had it about 8 months, Google have offered he a refurbished replacement as it is still under guarantee, is this right or should she expect a new phone, I am worried as hers has gone wrong after 8 months that a refurbished one will develop the same fault?

OP your rights are for a repair, replacement or refund.

A refund may be reduced to take into account usage, a refurbished replacement is along the same lines and so acceptable.

As it's been longer than 6 months Google could insist you demonstrate the fault.

The terms of any warranty (or guarantee) can be anything (as long as they are fair)

It's likely you won't be able to tell the replacement has been refurbished, I'd take their offer and not worry too much

Thankyou lunatic, she loves her phone and it is a fraction of the price of other fashionable phones but so much better until now.
