Umbrella Companies

Going to keep this one on the table. As of 21st April 2020, the government are ignoring the FCSA. Could somebody ask why? They represent temporary teachers who are key workers. Even when lockdown finishes and teachers for example return to work, the idea is to rely on supply teachers to fill in where there may long term issues around Corona. The prediction is that the need will be great. These are qualified people who will be part of the workforce the country will rely on to get the education system to stabilize. Why then does the government not want to provide rudimentary help for supply teachers forced to be paid by umbrella companies through its own legislation. My point is if we weren't paid by umbrella companies we wouldn't be in this limbo. Umbrella workers are receiving nothing at the moment. The government has been aware of this problem for six weeks and there has been no progress on it in that time.

My umbrella company (Paystream My Max) yesterday confirmed that they have now received the clarification they required from government and are going to pay me furlough pay based on my whole pay, not just the basic pay.

Galloglass - sorry are you accusing me of committing a crime? I haven't used tax-dodging companies so your comment is unwarranted and unnecessary but I guess you knew that when you wrote it. Perhaps find more useful things to do with your time rather than trolling people in need on the internet.0
