Baby on the way!

As a grandmother to one, I would suggest that you think of things that others won't
Our daughter and son-in-law were very fortunate to receive so many gifts before and after the birth of their son, clothes, teddies, toys, blankets. Both sets of grandparents helped with furniture for the baby's room.
They joined all the various baby clubs, Boots, Tesco etc etc Sent off for any online offers, sample packs of nappies, baby foods
The things that were not considered immediately were
Gentle detergents for clothes washing
Baby bath stuff
Smaller towels for post bath
Dentinox
Nappy rash ointments
Baby Calpol/Nurofen
Baby first aid kit, thermometer, tweezers, baby nail scissors
Supply of nappies, wipes for out and about
Safety equipment for as baby gets more mobile, cupboard catches, table corner covers
Clothes in larger sizes
Don't bother with designer clothes, they will grow out of them before they can get the benefit.
Supermarket clothes, Next sale (if you can face it), Primark (I hate the shop but for baby clothes definitely worth it)
Facebook Marketplace for buying and selling
I hope this helps
