I support a elderly gentleman who receives a pension form the government he as been working for a agency for quite a while however due to the shut down they have no work and refuse to furlough him, he need help in accessing money he as bee told he is not entitled to universal credit as he gets a pension what financial help can he access ?

unfortunately many agencies have refused to furlough people, either because they have so many employees that don’t want to administer the scheme, they don’t want the cash flow issues, or they don’t want the liability of people continuing to accrue holiday time. If you search for agency on here there’s hundreds of people in a similar situation.
