I have booked a course online through a company as third party. Due to current circumstances I have had to cancel my course. When booking the course it detailed that I can have my full deposit back if canceled with in 60 days of arrival. Which I have. The company are saying they will only give me a voucher for my full deposit amount and if I have not spent the voucher by March 2021 then I can have the monetary value then.
Can anyone please tell me if they are allowed to do this?
Thanks Zoe

They're not. If you paid by credit card you may be able to force the refund, otherwise it will take a while.1

Indeed. It is a try on but unless you can force a CC refund it will take many months and maybe longer for any small claims action to progress. Meanwhile they have got your money I'm afraid!1
