I booked and paid in full for my 6th May 2020 cruise in October 2019 and I got my refund also paid  back to my credit card on Mon 27th April.
Did you book direct with Fred Olsen or was it through a travel agent?

Booked direct with FOC and paid deposit on 18 February 2018 for cruise departing 29 March 2020 (don't ask - a special one husband really wanted to do). Balance paid 19 December 2019 - total cost over £6k. FOC cancelled 13 March 2020 and I requested refund 21 March. Cancellation Invoice received 9 April. Per phone call from FOC 29 April (prompted by my 2nd email) I was told refund could take up to 8 weeks from 14 April. 

I see you've also responded on the 'Cruise Line Refunds' thread in Coronavirus Travel. When did you actually claim your refund?

Why was a 2019 cruise cancelled and why are you only  requesting a refund a year later? If the March 2019 cruise was cancelled, why did you pay the balance in December 2019?

Also, you do realise this is thread entitled Praise for Fred Olsen? 

If you want to complain, I suggest starting  a separate  thread

Thank you so much for your 'helpful' suggestion. If you have actually read my post,  you will know I was responding to a specific question posed by st99. I wasn't aware of any forum rule prohibiting me from doing this. Perhaps you'd like to point it out for my benefit and for that of others.

General forum guideline is to keep the threads on topic. As I said, if you want to criticise or complain about a company then a Praise thread is not the place to do it. You even linked to a more appropriate thread that you are already posting to. By replying to the other poster you continue the off-topic discussion.

Now, since I'm now also posting off-topic, I suggest we end this conversation here.
