Which browser?

Would be interested to know which browser works for you on MSE. Chrome  doesn't work for me in that I can't see the complete site (no forums)  but Edge does to a point but doesn't enable links.:'(

I've tried Chrome, Firefox, IE and Brave over the past couple of years but I always go back to Chrome in the end as that's where I have the least Flash problems.

And to add ... what type of device are you using? (Android/Apple could mean either or both of phone or tablet).

I use Firefox for general web browsing, and use Chromium for streaming video.  Both work fine with MSE.
If you're having problems, try testing with a clean browser profile:

Dare I ask why you have an entirely separate browser just for video?

I can't think of any reason why any of the main browsers should be responsible for the difficulties you describe. I use (or have used) Chrome, Chromium, Firefox, Palemoon, Edge, Opera and Vivaldi on Windows, Linux and Android and have never encountered such issues. Look elsewhere for the cause. For example, have you used UBlock's element blocking or some other styler (Stylebot/Stylish) to change the appearance of these websites? If so, you may have hidden more than you intended.
