Refund for a show postponed

Hi,
I have paid for a ticket for the Bushcraft show in May, it has been postponed until next year. They have deferred tickets until then but I won’t be able to get time of work for that show next year.. I have ask for a refund on my tickets and they are refusing to answer my messages and emails, they have to said to others that they have spend the money they got from this years tickets and are unable to give refunds.
I am wanting to know what my rights are? Am I entitled to refund?? Or since they are deferring the ticket do I have to accept the lose??
