Z Hotel refusing to refund for my stay.

Hoping I can get some advice. I booked a hotel Covent Garden for 10th April for two nights. The booking was made in December and paid in full as part of my daughter’s Christmas present. The hotel emailed me to say they would be closed due to the outbreak but that I could rebook for a later date as they don’t offer refunds.
When I wrote back saying that I couldn't tell them when I’d next be able to visit London and asking if they could refund given the circumstances they said my only option was to rebook or cancel and lose the money.
Has anyone else dealt with similar?

You are due a cash refund, no T&Cs can override that right

I paid with a visa debit card. They are adamant they don’t refund and I’m not really sure how to proceed with them.0

You can contact your debit card company and ask for a chargeback for that transaction. stating you never received what you paid for.
