Unable to contact Virgin to move holiday

I'm due to go on a package holiday with Virgin in August. We've decided we'd like to move the holiday to next year but Virgin are only accepting calls and messages from people travelling in the next 72 hours.
At present the website says if you're travelling up to 1st August you may like to change your plans and they will send an email to let you know how to register to make changes. We are just outside of this timeframe.
Ts and C's state we can make changes (with admin fee) up to 12 weeks before but under 12 weeks would be classed as cancellation.
My question is - if Virgin aren't accepting my call to move holiday and it gets to 12 weeks before travel, surely it won't be classed as cancellation when I've been trying to contact them?
I'm hoping this 1st August date will be extended soon but I am concerned this will go on and on and we'll get very close to departure date without me being able to contact anyone.

I personally at this point would hold on for a little longer.I deeply suspect the trip will not be going ahead, you can by all means keep trying them but it will take lots more time and patience I would imagine.0
