Virgin Holidays ( hotel only booking ) queries ?

Hi all,
I have a Las Vegas hotel booked for September with Virgin Holidays.
I know this is some way off, but i checked the T&Cs yesterday, and noticed that ABTA/ATOL protection does not apply for Hotel Only bookings ( i have the actual T&C's saved on wordpad ) I know that i should have been aware of this < DOH >
So far i have paid a deposit ( 350 ) and also used some Virgin Flying Club miles to put another (almost) 600 towards it, Final balance is due in June ( 311 ).
I paid deposit with Credit Card ( Virgin Atlantic CC ironically ) and have Travel Insurance in place, and paid an extra supplement to extend the cover to include COVID 19 protection ( this was back in Feb ).
Presume its best to just sit tight for now ? As i have no ABTA/ATOL protection, would i still be able to use Section 75 if the booking is cancelled by them ? Or claim off the Travel insurance ?

Certainly on S75 if they cancelled, With insurance I'm not that clued up on
Not sure how it would work with the flying miles, do they have a value on the invoice on the invoice have a bottom line?

Yes the amount i got for the miles shows as a payment when i go into " Manage Booking " the actual miles are not mentioned.I assume its best to pay the balance when due, as other wise i have not fufilled the contract, and it would be as if i had cancelled...0

Great, then it will be covered under S75
Do you still want to go, or would you rather it be cancelled?

I think Vegas will be a very different experience than it would be normally ( will be first time for us ), and we would prefer to go in better times - whenever that might be.. Also the prospect of long haul flights is not a pleasant one. Flights are with American Airlines from Dublin, so again we just have to wait it out and see what the situation is in September..

it's a gamble whatever route you take (seems apt in this case)
The US is more likely to open up then Europe, IMO so more than a chance that the hotel will be open. (so no S75)
Looks like it might come down to Government advice at the time and one for the insurance.
It would be a pity to see LV without the full razzmatazz
