Charter Savings 95 day Notice Account rate drop

Options
And another one bites the dust...   taken them a little while but just had email to say our Charter Savings Bank 95 Notice account is dropping form 1.88% to 1.24%  :'(   At least that doesn't kick in unti 31 Aug.
Now just waiting for Cynergy Bank to drop the 1.5% Easy Access down to 1% or below and that'll be all our decent non RS and ISA accounts gone west.

You can add another email today saying CSB's Easy Access Issue 10 down from 1.39% to 0.76% on 28th May. Brownie points for holding on longer than most banks …. but a kick in the noodles for me with hefty drops on both of my EA and 95Day!

My CSB 1 Year Fixed 1.99% ends on 6th Aug ….. so I am triple gutted …. where to shift those funds :'(

The EA is currently my drip feed account (via linked account) for several RS's due to it's convenient automated monthly withdrawal facility (like a slow SO), and what was a half decent EA interest rate … but only the SO-like facility will be attractive after 28th May. I will have to see if there is any advantage in shifting the drip feed to a CA elsewhere with conventional SO's and a little interest on the monthly balance (Lloyds?) … can't think of much else as Nationwide is out for me and TSB seems like peanuts at less than £2pm in 2 days time!

CSB … you were good while it lasted!

Cynergy's 1.5% easy access ac available last July?  1.5% includes a 12 month 0.5% bonus... logically due to expire at anniversary.

At least CSB the cut by the same amount as the BoE and have give FOUR months notice on the 1.9% 95 day account.
Their cuts are only to be expected as things are now.
Even the 95 day at 1.25% is probably the best you`ll get by August.
Shawbrook have a 120 day at 1.45%, 45 day at 1.30% available at the moment.
Marcus EA at 1.2%, 1yr fix at 1.45% and that`s about it.

CSB were top 95 day notice ac with Investec at 1.85 late last year... but they (Investec) cut to 1.6% announced Dec/Jan effective March...so, yep, fair play to CSB - 5 months more.

My Cynergy EA bonus was 0.75% (so 0.75% + 0.75%) which ends in late July..obviously bonus rate will stay till then but can't see them leaving the 0.75% basic rate the same through till then as well (but you never know).
