Experian wont delete mistake

Options
Sorry i will try to explain best i can.
I have always had credit cards and i always use balance transfers to avoid high interest which has never been an issue i have never had any late payments or anything so i usually always get accepted.
A few month ago i applied for a Natwest one and it declined so i thought maybe they are just extremely strict i then tried for virgin money and declined again, i decided to check Experian and i was only showing good almost poor but everything on my report is green, then i released they hadn't updated my electoral roll information from 9 months ago when i changed address so it didn't have me on there. When i checked Equifax they had updated it at the time and my score was excellent.
I called Experian and he said it was a mistake on their end so he will get it updated. They did this yesterday so i went on and my score is now on poor as i was deducted over 100 points for the 2 declined card applications. I called them and said i would like these amended as i was a fault from them they just emailed to say theres no proof to say i was declined due to not being on the electoral roll.
Could anyone advise what i should do next please?

    Stop worrying about the score.
Declines are not registered either. Only searches.
If the electoral role thing is fixed that is all you need to do.
And stop worrying about the score.

They are correct. There’s no evidence what caused the decline.
plus your score means nothing in reality so don’t worry about it.

The lack of electoral roll entry may have been a contributing factor, but also, maybe it wasn't. It may be that you didn't qualify for either card based on their lending criteria. It's unlikely you'll get those searches removed - as they are a true record of activity, however if you've not been applying for any other credit, their significance will be minimal after 6 months. You mention that it was a few months ago, so you're probably approaching that time anyway. You could approach the two lenders previously applied with to find out if they use Experian as part of their credit check (Not all financial companies check all of the registers - some only check one) - and if they do, you could ask them to re-run your application now that your credit file has been corrected. Of course - if there was another reason you were declined previously for not meeting their lending criteria - you might be declined once again. Did you use the eligibility checkers first time around?
