    Don't use recorded delivery. Send it the specified address by regular mail, so that it gets processed properly.

    I have recently, within the last two weeks, closed a Tesco credit card account. I wrote to them. Tesco Bank Credit Card Operations, PO Box 27028, Broadway One, Glasgow, G2 9FT. All carried out very efficiently.
    Barclaycard, no idea.
