Fake Tesco Email

I have recently had emails which supposedly come from Tesco.com - a more detailed look shows 2 different senders
The subject line is Important Notification and the the body says that my Tesco account will be deactivated unless I verify my bank account details using the link they kindly provide. It's an obvious scam as I don't have a Tesco account

Any email that says your account will be deactivated unless you give them your bank details is an obvious scam whether you have an account with them or not.1

These kinds of emails have been circulating for years - tesco - PayPal - eBay - apple - barclays - the list just goes on and on - there is never a reason why you would click on an email link and then provide all of your bank details, just don't do it. If ever you're worried - call your financial institution directly on a number you trust in order to double check all is ok (and it will be). Just delete those emails.0
