Why give 14 days notice of the closure of the account? They are content to receive funds into the account for a fortnight but will not release any for up to two months. I suppose this is all part of the AML regulations.

If you take a look on Facebook there is a group called NatWest CLOSED down my ACCOUNT. There is a lot more people on there, I assume because Facebook is more accessible and people may not think to come onto this forum0

What’s a petition going to do?
It won’t stop banks following regulations...2 -
Who said anything about stopping following regulations?A review to their process on how they/their computer systems close accounts and completely reject any access to any money would be something, that’s not asking them to stop following regulations.0

Hi everyone, just looking for some advice please. So I did an account switch when the offer was on, after sending off my info I received a text from NatWest saying I had missed some info (my husband's debit card number from old acc) and because of this the switch would not be performed but I could still have a bank account. So for the last 3 months I have been paid my wages into my old acc and transferred them to my new NatWest. Monday I get a text stating they will no longer offer me banking services. My husband is due to get paid his wages into that bank acc tomorrow. We have two small children and rent and bills to pay. If he goes into branch will he be allowed the money? Thanks0

If that does not work only Nat West can help you.0
