Course postponed to a date I can't attend and company refusing to refund...

Hi,
I am after some advice, I paid £1300 to attend a course that was postponed due to Covid19. The new date is in August which I am not able to take annual leave for. I have let the company know this and asked for a refund. Their t&c are that if you notify them 45 days before, that they will refund minus the deposit. The founder of the company is refusing and insisting they wish to book me on another course. I work for a small business and we agreed to help the business keep going through this tough time we would cut our annual leave so I simply don't have enough leave to take in order to do this course.
What do you think? Is the company that I've paid in the wrong here? I paid via credit card so could try persuing down that route.
Many thanks
