90 Days for Refund

Options
I was booked to go away in March which was obviously cancelled by the travel company.  They say they have refunded all of my money to my travel agent.  The travel agent are saying that they can only issue refunds by cheque once they are back in the office.  They are quoting 90 days or the end of the lockdown whichever is soonest.  It is a large amount (over £10,000).  Does this sound reasonable?

How did you paid?  refund by cheque seems strange these days.

Personally I would raise a Section 75 claim with the credit card company  against the 3 transactions.
They might say you can't claim and have to go though your travel company, but they are wrong.
If they refuse to take your claim  say you disagree with their decision and you want a "Letter of Deadlock"

You can wait till whoever pays up first, but can only have or keep  one payment that covers the value.
