Hi i finished my maternity leave on 4/3/2020 and handed my notice into my workplace, i have however gone back to the same place as s casual worker on a zero hour contract, i started there on 12/3/2020, paid monthly, i have asked if i can get furloughed but have been told no, is this correct by them as i have no form of income and am left with my 10 month old and no income, if i am not entitled to furlough am i entitled to anything else?
Kind regards
Jemma Taylor

It is the employer's choice whether or not to furlough you.
You could try claiming Universal Credit.
But be very careful if you do because it will stop any Tax Credits you get immediately and you cannot go back to them.
If you are living with with a partner it would have to be a joint claim."All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of thing shall be well."
